Our Commitment

At tekranowpth, we are committed to ensuring our website is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to conform our web content to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA parameters.

We believe structured organisational advisory resources must be usable for all coordinators, trustees, and volunteers, including those using assistive technologies or screen reading systems.

Measures Taken to Support Accessibility

We have integrated several structural features within our design codebase, including:

  • Semantic Markup: We maintain structured HTML landmarks (headers, main content regions, sections, and footers) to support keyboard-based screen navigation.
  • Skip to Content Link: A functional keyboard-accessible link at the very top of each page lets users skip the global header navigation.
  • Keyboard Focus Indicator: All interactive controls, buttons, forms, and toggles have high-visibility focus indicators to assist keyboard-only users.
  • Accessible Form Controls: Inputs, textareas, and dropdown menus are explicitly labeled with matching id parameters and include helper hints.
  • Aria Attributes on Components: Our interactive accordions and mobile menu overlays utilize aria-expanded and aria-controls parameters to communicate visual status shifts to assistive readers.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

tekranowpth.store is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard (detailed below).

Known Accessibility Limitations

We are continuously working to improve the digital interface. The following limitations are currently present on the Site:

  • Interactive Priority Sorter: While we have included keyboard-friendly action buttons to move cards within our Priority Sorter tool, drag-and-drop operations on some mobile devices using specific screen reader engines may display inconsistent tab indexes.
  • PDF or Downloadable Materials: Fictional templates or downloaded documentation drafts may not have fully tagged structural headers inside their external formats.
